The original look of the mall had an intimate, “French Quarter” type feel, with brick pavers, gas lamps, wrought iron, and no back-lit signs. Although the front entrance of the mall faces Johnston Street, many people over time have found it easier to access the property via Ambassador Caffery Parkway. As a result, most mall customers consider the food court to be the front entrance.
The Great Mall of the Great Plains in Olathe, KS is the largest outlet mall in the state of Kansas. The Great Mall features over 80 stores and restaurants. Burlington Coat Factory, Book Warehouse, Group USA Clothing Company, and Dickinson 16 Theaters are the mall’s anchor stores. Amenities include indoor glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course, a food court and a Game Zone arcade.

On the other hand, on busy days, Victoria Gardens can be less pleasant. Cars are allowed within the streets of the shopping center.
If you need to shop on busy weekends or holiday periods, plan your shopping trip in advance and your experience will be more pleasant. Arrive at the mall early before the thickest crowds hit. Aim for a parking spot near to your destination. Take a moment to enjoy the mall’s beauty (and, at Christmas, the seasonal decor and the holiday music which fills the air).
